01 / UNDERSTAND THE PROJECT
What is AnyPS5?
A tool for bringing PS5 executables to a PC’s native format.
AnyPS5 combines a relinker, which converts an executable, with host implementations of PS5 system libraries. Its graphics work includes recompiling shaders to SPIR-V for Vulkan.
The project describes this approach as running without a separate emulator process. A converted file still needs the right libraries, game resources, and working implementations of the features it uses.

The source ZIP is different. GitHub’s “Code → Download ZIP” provides source code. The release files above provide the conversion tool and host libraries; they do not include a game or a one-click launcher. The release also offers alternative ZIP/tar.gz library archives.
No macOS binary is attached to this release. See the platform notes for the separate development-branch status. Sources: v0.1.1 assets · release packaging (both checked October 11, 2026).
03 / WHAT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED
AnyPS5 game compatibility.
The upstream compatibility table currently lists one game. This is a record of the results it reports, not an independent test by this site.
Dreaming Sarah
PPSA02929| Reported hardware | Reported FPS |
|---|---|
| GTX 1050 Ti / i5-7500 3.4GHz | 60 FPS |
| Intel(R) HD Graphic 620 / i5-7200 2.5GHz | 36 FPS |
Hardware names follow the source. These results apply to the listed configurations; the table does not specify a test build or establish minimum requirements.
A discussion, pull request, or progress percentage does not establish that a game is playable. Look for a test result with its platform, build, hardware, and limitations.
04 / FROM FILES TO FIRST RUN
How to use AnyPS5.
A release-specific starting point.
These examples use v0.1.1 and the filenames downloaded above.
Scope: v0.1.1, Windows and Linux. Checked against the tagged source; we have not independently run the binaries or tested games. Development documentation can describe newer behavior.
Prepare the input
Use a clean ELF executable, its bundled ELF modules, and game data you are entitled to use. Keep the modules beside the input in one
sce_module/orsce_modules/directory.Pair the downloads
Put your platform’s v0.1.1 relinker in a working folder. Extract its matching library archive there, preserving the
libs/folder and all files inside it.Convert the executable
Open your terminal in that working folder. Adapt the paths below. Windows needs
--windows; an.exefilename alone still produces Linux output.Prepare the runtime
Keep the converted modules under
app0/, add the game’s resources there, and keep host system libraries inlibs/beside the output. Then try launching it.
Before conversion
working-folder/
relinker-v0.1.1.exe # Windows; relinker-v0.1.1 on Linux
source/
input.elf # Your clean game executable
sce_module/ # Or sce_modules/, not both
<bundled ELF modules>
libs/ # Extracted from the matching release archive
<host library files>In v0.1.1 the normal workflow expects exactly one of the two module directories. Keep the modules required by your game; an empty folder does not replace them. A SELF container is not a clean ELF input. Do not copy a newer prx/ input layout or newer flags into this release workflow. Tagged module handling ↗
Run the conversion
.\relinker-v0.1.1.exe --windows .\source\input.elf .\app.exechmod +x ./relinker-v0.1.1
./relinker-v0.1.1 ./source/input.elf ./app.elfIntel host: the release offers --to-intel to convert supported AMD-only instructions. Add it before the input path if applicable; it does not establish game compatibility. v0.1.1 command options ↗
After conversion
working-folder/
app.exe # Windows; app.elf on Linux
libs/
*.prx # AnyPS5 host system libraries
*.dll # Keep the DLLs included in the Windows archive
app0/
<game resources>
sce_module/ # Or sce_modules/, matching your input
*.guest.prx # Modules written by the relinkerKeep the relinker’s generated module files; do not overwrite them with original PS5 modules. The game resources are supplied separately. Once the runtime is ready, launch .\app.exe in PowerShell, or run chmod +x ./app.elf and then ./app.elf in Bash.

Conversion success is not a playability result.
For a failed launch, keep the first error, OS and exact version.
05 / CHECK YOUR PLATFORM
Windows, Linux and macOS support.
A tool running on an OS, a generated file format, and a playable game are different results.
| Platform | v0.1.1 downloads | Conversion target | Game evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| Windows | Relinker EXE + Windows library archive | PE with --windows | Dreaming Sarah is reported playable on the listed Windows hardware. |
| Linux | Linux relinker + Linux library archive | ELF by default | The upstream Dreaming Sarah row is marked ?; no Linux result is established by that row. |
| macOS | No macOS binary attachment | The separate development snapshot documents --macos for x86-64 Mach-O; this is not a v0.1.1 option. | Output-format support alone is not evidence that a particular game is playable. |
Release: v0.1.1 assets and tagged options. Development notes: USAGE.md at 57f96fd. Game evidence: upstream compatibility snapshot.
06 / FIND THE FIRST USEFUL CHECK
Common AnyPS5 setup errors.
Start with the first error.
These checks narrow a problem down; they do not guarantee a fix.
| Symptom | First check | Scope & source |
|---|---|---|
| Input or module directory rejected | Use clean ELF files. In v0.1.1 keep exactly one sce_module/ or sce_modules/ beside the input. Both present or both absent fails the normal module check. | v0.1.1 module handling |
| The .exe is still a Linux file | Convert again with --windows. Changing the output filename does not change its format. | v0.1.1 target option |
| Windows loader error 193 | Check that libs/ contains Windows host libraries, not original PS5 PRX modules. An incompatible binary is one possible cause. | Development documentation: runtime layout |
| Windows loader error 126 | A library can exist while a dependency is missing. Preserve the DLLs in the release archive; self-built libraries need matching toolchain dependencies. | Development documentation: runtime layout |
| Conversion passes; game stops | Verify libs/, game resources and converted modules. Unsupported system or graphics behavior may still stop execution; record the first error before changing flags. | v0.1.1 modules · development status |
Development-documentation rows refer to commit 57f96fd, checked October 11, 2026. Error codes are clues, not unique diagnoses. Avoid applying newer flags to older binaries.
Keep a useful report.
Record release/tag or commit, OS, hardware, command and first error. Remove private paths before sharing logs.
07 / ANSWERS BEFORE YOU START
AnyPS5 FAQ.
Downloads, platforms, game compatibility and the limits of progress numbers.
Check our sources ↓What is AnyPS5?
AnyPS5 combines an executable relinker with host implementations of PS5 system libraries. It converts executables to host formats; working libraries and game resources are still needed. Read the project overview.
Where is the original AnyPS5 GitHub repository?
The original repository is github.com/boykopovar/AnyPS5. This website is an independent guide and is not affiliated with the project.
Which AnyPS5 files should I download?
For v0.1.1, choose your platform’s relinker and its matching PRX library archive. Both filenames and upstream links are in the download table. The repository source ZIP is different.
Does AnyPS5 work on Windows, Linux, or macOS?
The v0.1.1 release provides Windows and Linux files. A newer development snapshot also documents macOS output. Read the platform matrix: a download, conversion target and playable game are separate capabilities.
Which games have documented compatibility?
At our October 11, 2026 check, the upstream table listed Dreaming Sarah as playable on Windows and marked Linux “?”. That row does not establish support for other games.
Does 100% shader progress mean every game is playable?
No. A shader or library progress metric describes the work it measures, not complete game compatibility. The project’s library status counts declared functions, not every PS5 function. Look for a title-specific test result. Read the upstream status explanation.
Is AnyPS5 an emulator?
The project describes an automatic porting approach using a relinker and replacement system libraries, without a separate emulator process. That description does not establish compatibility or performance for a particular game. See the project’s architecture explanation.
Does successful conversion mean a game will run?
No. Conversion produces an output file. The program still needs a correctly prepared runtime and implementations of the features it uses. Missing or unsupported behavior can stop it. Start with the failure checks.
Are games included in the download?
No. The release attachments are the relinker, host libraries and documentation. You must separately provide the input executable, modules and game resources you are entitled to use. This site does not host game files.
Where should I look when something fails?
Check the first error and your exact build before trying different flags. Use the troubleshooting table, then search existing upstream issues. For corrections to this guide, email support@anyps5.pro.
